Re: Mosquitoes / Conditions Lyell Canyon

Hey guys, I'm heading up to do Lyell canyon this weekend. Maybe Lake Ireland or Donahue pass pending snow conditions. How much bug repellant should I bring? Did the Mosquitoes wake up yet?

Recent reports are good. It's still getting too cold at night for the mosquitoes to be out.

And I hope it stays that way. I will be at Tuolumne in two weeks...

I know, I know... but I am in denial right now.

Not exactly your location but there were NO mosquitos on the Kibbie Ridge, Cherry Creek Canyon, nor Mercur Lake over the weekend. It was cold at night, cool during the day, and breezy.
(saw nine kyackers doing Cherry Creek Sunday)
