Tamarack Flat Campground will open for the season on Friday, May 24, 2013. (It will be closed to the public from June 6-June 17 for a Native American spiritual encampment). On June 18th, it will reopen to the public until it's closure date of October 15.

Crane Flat Campground will open to the public on Friday, May 24 for Memorial Day weekend on a first-come, first-serve basis. Portable toilets will be available. It will close again at noon on Monday, May 27 as we finish preparations of the campground for the summer season. The reopening date is unknown at this time.

Does anyone know which Indian tribe (or tribes) are holding the spiritual encampment at the Tamarack Flat campgroud?

Just curious.
