For Chick-on

Chick-on,
Thanks for the rememberances. Here's a few of that area we took during a trip in 2008. I don't think I've posted them before.

As most of you may remember, I'm from back east so it's not that easy to get to the Sierra. My son and I made a trip in 2008 going to Rock Creek and then to Vogelsang.
Here's a shot of Vogelsang peak at dusk:

Then another of Vogelsang at sunrise the next day:

We decided to hike over to Townsley and then up to Hanging Basket. Here's a shot of my son and me above Fletcher Lake (I think it's Fletcher).

Here I am on my way up to Hanging Basket. As I remember, it was more difficult (for me) than it looks.

Ducks on Townsley. I didn't know there were ducks in the Sierra, but....

This one speaks for itself. Again, one of my favorite Sierra views.

Up to the Basket... yeah... def. class 2 ... up to the Plateau... easy class 3, almost class 2
from either side of lake imo... but of course YMMV and snow may
greatly complicate things... wink

The body betrays and the weather conspires, hopefully, not on the same day.
