Re: Hook Lake

Hi Everyone;

i'm looking into horse riding / mule packing this coming summer with some older scouts. i've never done this, so i'm searching the web looking for reasonable pricing and places etc.

i came across one place where this company will drop you off at a place called Hook Lake. they will leave you there and then come back when you want to be picked up.

they show a photo of the place, and it looks nice. is anyone familiar with it?

also, if you are experienced with this type of trip, please let me know where to look, what companies are good etc.

Hook lake is a common name, used for a number of lakes in the Sierra. What's it near?

I've worked with a number of pack outfits, doing trailwork. Which did you talk to?
