Might be a good time to check out the Half Dome Cam. Last year on December 24, there was a full moon that rose over the top of Half Dome, and visible in the Half Dome Cam.
I live in Georgia, and saw a beautiful full moon rising right around 5:30 pm eastern time. Should be coming your way around dusk, as well.
Check it out on the web cam. (May be a little cloudy in east sky tonight.)
