The geology of the Sierras is really interesting. When I hiked up Whitney back in the 70's the elevation was listed as 14 ,496 ft. Now it's listed at 14505. There's definitely some upward movement going on there.

Like Mr. Wolf's upper Midwest accent.

I think it was a redifination of "sea-level"(NAVD88).
