Tamarack Flat Campground will be closed to the public from noon on Friday, June 13 until noon on Tuesday, June 24 for Native American traditional use

Does anyone here know what this annual closure of the Tamarack Flat Campground is more specifically about? Which Indian tribe(s) are involved and what event is it exactly? An annual pow wow perhaps?

In addition, will they get to close the Tamarack Flat trail head again? There is no excuse for that. They have been closing the entire access road, all the way to route 120.
