Sonora, Calif., (July 24, 2014)…The Forest Closure Order, resulting from the Ramsey Fire in August 2012 that burned approximately 1,137 acres of mixed conifer in the North Fork of the Stanislaus River, is now lifted. The Ramsey Fire forest closure order was scheduled to be in effect from August 16, 2012, through September 12, 2014, but is being opened early due to the completion of necessary rehabilitation work. The forest order opens several roads and one trail on the Calaveras Ranger District, which includes the following: 6N79, 17E21, 6N59Y and trail 17E21.
The Rim Fire Forest Closure Order is still in effect until November 18, and is not related or affected by the Ramsey Fire Forest Order.
