Starting Sunday night, August 10th the Contractor crews are moving back to night time delays on the Tioga Road Rehabilitation Project. The night time delays will be Sunday night 8 PM through Friday morning at 8 AM. This recent switch back to night time delays is due to the increased traffic volumes during the day time hours. These traffic delays are occurring between Crane Flat and White Wolf (the western 15 miles of the Tioga Road).
Also, on Monday and Tuesday night August 11th and 12th the park crews will be completing an emergency repair on the Tioga Road near Cathedral Creek Drainage (Approximately 1-mile west of Tuolumne Meadows). Crews will be working from 8 PM to 8 AM with single lane traffic control and 30-minute delays between 8 PM and 11 PM and then 1-hour delays between 11 PM and 6 AM and then 15 minute delays between 6 AM and 8 AM.
Traffic control will be coordinated to reduce the delays between the two construction zones.
No weekend delays are scheduled or day time delays between 8 AM and 8 PM. Please plan ahead, be patient and obey the speed limits.
