The fire broke out at about 2pm today, and is already at 200 acres, and out of control. It's about 15 miles SW of Yosemite Valley, according to the story.

Another new fire is at about 100 acres near Oakhurst.

It's that time of year again. If you are headed to Yosemite this weekend, expect poor visibility, I guess.

Online map centered on the Bridge fire. This map always shows the most recent hotspot and perimeter info that is publically available.

To see the wind data better, change to one of the other basemaps. Note that the wind data has a 3 hour lag.
