Due to snow and ice from the recent storm and continued freezing temperatures, the 4-Mile Trail, Mist Trail, and Ice Cut section of the John Muir Trail have been closed. The winter route should be used to access Vernal and Nevada Falls. These closures are anticipated to be in effect until the spring.
Trails will be reevaluated if conditions change significantly.
