i don't want to sound insensitive or morbid, but i was wondering if anyone knew how many total deaths there has been on El Capitan? i know there was one just a couple of weeks ago. i don't see on Google any info on how many that is up to date.

Not sure but I think there have been less deaths on El Cap than on the old Ledge Trail.
But a one way ticket over Vernal Falls seems to be the most popular way of doing one's self in at Yosemite.
Even with all the signs people still have to get that "perfect shot" or slide down the apron and swim in the pool.
