Three fires occurred near the park yesterday afternoon. Smoke from the fires was visible within the Yosemite. Smoke impacts are likely to occur today, particularly in the Wawona area of the park. Two fires remain very active on or near the Sierra National Forest, south of Yosemite.
The Sky Fire is near Oakhurst and was at 200 acres as of last night.
The Corrine Fire is south of Bass Lake. It began overnight, and is over 200 acres. There is no
containment of either fire.
The Triangle Fire was near Mariposa and was held to 30 acres. It is contained and in mop-up.
Highway 41 south to Oakhurst remains open.
