...Winter weather advisory in effect above 8500 feet until 6 am
Pdt tuesday...

The national weather service in hanford has issued a winter
Weather advisory for snow above 8500 feet which is in effect
Until 6 am pdt tuesday.

* snow accumulations...A light dusting to 4 inches.

* impacts...Hikers and campers in the high country will be
Subjected to freezing temperatures...Gusty winds and snow and
Face the risk of hypothermia. Highway 120 through tioga pass may
Become slick and snow-covered.

* winds...Generally east 10 to 20 mph with local gusts to 30 mph
Over exposed ridges.

* temperatures...Mainly in the 30s with wind chill temperatures
As low as the teens.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A winter weather advisory for snow means that periods of snow
Will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
Covered roads and limited visibilities...And use caution while
Driving.
