...Winter storm warning in effect from 7 am thursday to 7 am pst
Friday...

The national weather service in hanford has issued a winter storm
Warning for snow with strong and gusty winds...Which is in effect
From 7 am thursday to 7 am pst friday. The winter storm watch is
No longer in effect.

* hazard types...Heavy snow with strong and gusty winds.
Strongest winds near the crest.

* accumulations...12 to 24 inches above 7000 feet...With 7 to 12
Inches above 5000 feet. Snow levels will be around 5000 feet
Thursday morning then lower to around 4000 feet by thursday
Evening where accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible.

* timing...Snow and strong winds developing thursday morning with
Heavy snowfall on thursday afternoon and evening.

* impacts...Slick...Snow covered roads and winter driving
Conditions. Travel delays and chain controls with possible
Road closures. Blowing and drifting snow.

* winds...Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 70 mph along
The sierra crest.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A winter storm warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
Conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
Are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
Emergency. If you must travel...Keep an extra flashlight...
Food...And water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
