As a safety precaution, the Tioga Road and the Glacier Point Road will close tonight, Friday May 20th due to a forecast of snow and freezing conditions. The Tioga Road will close at 8:00 pm and the Glacier Point Road will close at 9:00 pm.

The roads will reopen as soon as it is safe and weather conditions improve. Call 209 372-0200 (press 1, then 1) to check on overall road status.

...this will make it slightly more challenging for OD and me to meet up with JKW and the bird tomorrow :-(

(TUOLUMNE, MONO CO) - DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER - MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO USE

Are vehicles allowed to park overnight on Tioga Road right now?

The short while it was open, yes. I suppose that anyone that parked and went in for an overnighter will stay.
