"Forest change, fuels, and wildfire hazard: New management insights from old forest plots" by Dr. Eric Knapp, Research Ecologist, U.S. Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Research Station

The absence of fire, a warming climate, logging, and many other factors have dramatically altered Sierra Nevada forests. This talk will describe some of these changes and how data from historical research plots are being used as a guide to restore habitat and create a forest more resilient to wildfire, bark beetles, and other stressors.

The Forum will take place Tuesday, July 12th from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in the Yosemite Valley Auditorium.
