Falls Creek which creates Wapama Falls overflowed Wapama Foot Bridge again on Saturday night into Sunday morning. No damage was done to the bridge, however, with expected snow melt and rain beginning today and lasting through Thursday Wapama Foot Bridge is closed.

The next storm is expected to bring 5+ inches of rain through Thursday to the Hetch Hetchy area. The recent damage caused to the bridge about a month ago happened after the initial storm passed by a surge of water within a two hour window. No surge has happened at this point, however, to insure visitor safety and the expected weather coming the bridge will remain closed through Friday unless conditions change.
