Anybody know if the lounge and free wi-fi are still there since Aramark took over?

Thanks.

ERICG is correct. There is currently no public wi-fi at Curry Village.

Well, that's a bummer. There used to be. Can I still drop in and charge some electronics?

Go to the front desk and ask if you can purchase an access code for a day of WiFi access for a small fee.

One was able to do so at the Yosemite Lodge. Maybe Half Dome Village has instituted the same policy.

I know in the past you could purchase it by the hour at the Yosemite Lodge and at Degnan's I believe. Of course that was when it was also free at Curry. But then all that was under Delaware North. So I was wondering how any/all of that changed under Aramark. For my usage I probably have enough data through my cell plan when I can get a signal (AT&T). But I always liked taking a break during the day and hanging out at Curry while I checked to see if the world had ended while I was away. The free wi-fi was kind of nice. :-)

I usually use my cell phone or go to one of the libraries. http://www.mariposalibrary.org/branches.html

Thanks. I usually have good cell reception in the valley. I'm actually camping at Wawona so that library sounds interesting. I'm just not sure I'll be there when it is open.

According to the Aramark link that parklover provided, Aramark is still continuing to offer WiFi for a nominal fee ($5.95 for 24 hours of access) at the Yosemite Lodge.

That's a decent deal that I have taken advantage in the past when I've camped in the Valley. Usually I purchased it at around 2 PM in the afternoon, that way I'll have access to WiFi for two days (afternoon and evening the first day, and morning till early afternoon the second day).

It is a reasonable deal (assuming the signal strength is decent) and one I will consider depending upon when I am where. It would be nice if the colder weather next week caused some cancellations in the valley. While I'm sure I will enjoy the camping experience at Wawona, the distance from the valley makes returning "home" during the day, a major inconvenience. I guess that's what I get for waiting to make reservations. I was probably lucky to get the reservation at Wawona back in early April when I made it.
