A hiker slipped on one of the bridges spanning Yosemite's Wapama Falls last week and tumbled into the raging cataract above the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, park officials said.

This makes three deaths from high water here. One body never was recovered.

There have been other recent drownings, in the Merced River, though outside the park.
