The National Weather Service in Reno has extended the

* Flood Warning for ... snowmelt in... northern Mono County in northern California ... southern Lyon County in west central Nevada...

* until 1245 am PDT Thursday

* elevated releases will continue from Bridgeport Reservoir to create storage space due to higher than normal releases from Twin Lakes Reservoir upstream. The resulting high flows below Bridgeport will mean continued flooding of agricultural areas, rural roads, including but not limited to the east Walker Road, and may impact property accesses.

* Most impacts are expected to continue through the week, but may diminish somewhat in severity. The east Walker Road has been closed due to flood waters.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks.
