Scenic Vista Management-Restoring Yosemite Falls View From The Majestic Dining Room

Scenic vista management will begin this week to restore the historic view of Yosemite Falls from the ~~Majestic~~ Ahwahnee Hotel Dining Room. The large window at the end of the grand hall looks west to frame an iconic view of Yosemite Falls. The view has been completely obscured by trees that will be removed as part of this project. This project will also restore meadow habitat overtaken by conifers and help promote black oak health by removing the conifers overtopping the oaks as outlined in the Merced River Plan. This project has been made possible thanks to Yosemite Conservancy.
