fwiw... she had foot surgery less than 6 weeks ago... and she's gone on
2 backpacking trips already. amazing. (and two campground trips) (hmm... we didn't
miss any weekends out... ) (one 11 days trip... one TM CG trip. ok, that covers it)

Thank you so much!! It’s going better than I’d expected, and I’m frankly trying not to overdo it!! Gotta get my foot strengthened back up and used to its new “shape”.

That gorgeous line of peaks is the high country of the southern Sierra. Love love love!

Happy Birthday JKW! I've enjoyed the "recovery" hikes and trips, well, except for the silly "eights is zero if there is one" rule... *sigh* You should take a month off and break in the new foot doing hikes around the Sierra. Just tell me where, when, and how much pizza/nuggets/BBQ to bring :-)
