The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct intermittent full closures of eastbound and westbound State Route 140 to blast and remove boulders in state right of way.
On Monday, November 18, work will occur between Briceburg and Slate Gulch from 8:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. On Tuesday, November 19, work will resume between Crane Creek Road and the park boundary, also from 8:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
The intermittent full-closures can occur at anytime during the hours listed and will likely involve 20-minute delays. One-way traffic control will be in effect during the remainder of the working hours listed for debris removal. Motorists are asked to please plan their daily trips with these intermittent full closures in mind. This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and construction related issues.
