Re: Tioga Road Plowing Status?

Did the Tioga Road assessments and/or plowing begin yet?

I'm pretty sure plowing is long over. But no announcements at all.

It has been almost two weeks since I've been up there, but there had been no snowplowing in the park within sight of the entrance gate.

With the snowpack at 12% of normal statewide, essentially all snow was projected to be melted by within a week. They may not need to plow.

It's not just removing the snow, it's making sure the road is in passable condition (e.g. removing wood and rocks that the snow moved onto the roadway in the winter).

We know. I was just addressing Hikerchick's specific reference to snowplowing.
