Power went out in Yosemite Valley yesterday evening (June 25) due to downed power lines. On Monday, contracted crews will begin repairs, which will take two or three days. The park is looking into getting a generator for residential areas.

So does that mean the Park is now completely w/out power? That seems like a major interruption in services (i.e. lodging and food) that should have gotten a lot more press than it has...or at least an 'Alert' on the NPS site. I did some Googling, and this is basically the only article on it I saw: https://sierranewsonline.com/alert-power-outage-in-yosemite-valley-to-last-into-next-week/

I have no idea if these are linked, but we were at Lake View Lodge (Lee Vining) and lost power Thursday around 4:30 pm. It came back about 7 pm. It was quite a storm. It hailed on us Thursday afternoon as we drove down Lee Vining. Talk about excitement.

Not linked. Lee Vining is SCE territory.
