...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM WEDNESDAY TO 4 PM
PST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6-9 inches
mainly above 5500 feet. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Central Sierra...mainly over Yosemite National Park.

* WHEN...From 10 PM Wednesday to 4 PM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. Plan on
slippery road conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM WEDNESDAY TO 10 AM
PST THURSDAY...

* CHANGES...Upgraded to Winter Weather Advisory.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 3 inches
for communities along Highway 395, 4 to 8 inches for June Lake
and Mammoth Lakes, and amounts near 12 inches along the Sierra
Crest north of Tioga Pass. Winds could gust to 45 mph in the
lower elevations and as high as 100 mph along Sierra Ridges.

* WHERE...Mono County.

* WHEN...From 7 PM Wednesday to 10 AM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Very
strong winds could cause extensive tree damage.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Even light snowfall causes major travel delays, especially during
periods of high traffic volume. Be sure to allow extra time to
reach your destination. Leave extra space between vehicles since
it takes longer to stop on slick roadways.
