Lake Thomas Edison, Tuolumne Meadows, and Shaver Lake

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO
5 AM PDT SATURDAY ABOVE 6000 FEET...

* WHAT...Snow and gusty winds expected above 6000 feet. 2 to 6
inches from 6000 feet to 7000 feet. 6 to 12 inches with locally
heavier amounts above 7000 feet. Wind gusts as high as 45 mph
possible.

* WHERE...Central Sierra and North Kings River Counties.

* WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 5 AM PDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or
evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on travel delays and slick, snow
covered roads, some of which may become impassable or closed.
Roads that remain open may be paced by law enforcement or
require tire chains or cables. Hikers and campers in this area
should be prepared for winter like conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.
