Inyo National Forest construction crews will be working demolishing old restroom buildings on Convict Lake Rd. in the upcoming week. Work is expected to be completed by the end of next week. Convict Lake Rd. will be partially and intermittently closed south of Convict Lake Campground Rd. while crews are working. All day use sites will stay open, however, to insure public safety, there will be no parking at the end of Convict Lake Rd. while Forest Service crews are working. The road will be open outside of working hours. New toilets will be installed later in the month and details about when that occurs will be shared when plans are finalized.
We ask public to be cautious of heavy equipment and the increase of truck traffic while construction activities are going on.
