The Mariposa Grove Road is still closed to all vehicles, including those displaying a disability placard. The only access to the Mariposa Grove is the four-mile round-trip hike (with 500 feet of elevation change) from the Mariposa Grove Welcome Plaza (near South Entrance). Pets and bicycles are not allowed on the Mariposa Grove Road or the Washburn Trail.

Access to the Mariposa Grove Arrival Area for vehicles displaying a disability placard is expected to resume later this month. Shuttle service is scheduled to resume on Memorial Day weekend.

Well, you could also take the trail from Wawona to the upper grove. Admittedly, that's about 12mi roundtrip (plus whatever hiking you'd do within the Grove itself) and 2000 feet of elevation gain so it's a more ambitious access route, albeit quite lovely (especially once you get past the Wawona Meadow area and start to gain altitude)
