The camping page on the YNP site has been updated with the planned reservation scheme for the Tioga Road corridor campgrounds:

Tamarack Flat and White Wolf Campgrounds

We don't have an opening date yet for these campgrounds. We will post here once an opening date is available. Tamarack Flat Campground is scheduled to close on October 15. White Wolf Campground is scheduled to close on September 25.

About 50% of reservations will be available up to two months in advance on the 15th of each month. For example, reservations for August 15–September 14 arrival dates will become available on July 15 at 7 am PDT on Recreation.gov.

The remaining 50% of reservations will be available each day, two weeks before arrival, at 7 am PDT on Recreation.gov. For example, reservations for August 15 arrivals will become available on August 1.

Yosemite Creek Campground

We don't have an opening date yet for this campground. We will post here once an opening date is available. This campground is scheduled to close on September 15.

All reservations will be available each day, four days before arrival, at 7 am PDT on Recreation.gov. For example, reservations for August 15 arrivals will become available on August 11 at 7 am PDT on Recreation.gov.

According to those rules, some of the dates for Tamarack Flat campground, at least, should be on sale now at Recreation.gov, but the campground is not listed on the site. I assume that, once they set a firm opening date for the campground, they will announce a date that the initial set of reservations ( Opening Day - July 14, which would have been available online on May 15) will become available.

Yep--the campground chart for available campgrounds lists Tamarack Flat as opening "June?" White Wolf is "July?" And Yosemite Creek is "June? "

It appears that they WILL open this summer, once the work there is completely. We'll have to check back often to see when they actually open. On Recreation.gov these are all listed as First come, first served, so no reservations available through that system.

Tamarack Flat Campground opens on 20 June

Tamarack Flat campground will open on 20 June and close on 15 October.

50% of campsites for the period 20 Jun - 15 Aug will be available on recreation.gov at 7am PDT on 15 June. 16 Aug - 15 Sept will come available on 15 July, and 16 Sept - 15 Oct will come available on 15 August.

The other 50% of campsites will be available two weeks ahead of time on recreation.gov each day at 7am PDT. (Not sure if that means these campsites will be available for reservation on 06 June for the 20th, or if 15 June is the first date reservations will be available for any campsite, in which case it would open reservations for these sites through 29 June).
