...A HIGH WIND WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM PST SUNDAY MORNING
UNTIL 10 PM PST SUNDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Sustained northeast to east winds 35 to 45 mph, with
gusts near 75 mph expected.

* WHERE...Yosemite NP outside of the valley, Upper San Joaquin
River, Kaiser to Rodgers Ridge, Kings Canyon NP and Sequoia NP.

* WHEN...From 7 AM Sunday morning until 10 PM Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging wind gusts could blow down trees and power
lines. Power outages are possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Secure outdoor items, such as patio furniture, sports equipment,
and trash cans prior to the onset of high winds. Even the most
common objects become dangerous projectiles when picked up and
carried by high winds.

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.
