I'd say it'd be a long shot if the man was ID'd here, but more details might help.
Local guy?
Out of state?
Park employee?
Circumstances around the meeting?
Date of photo?

I haven't checked, but I'd guess there is a Yosemite group(s) on Facebook, which has a much wider audience than this forum. You might try asking your question on FB or a similar forum.
