I worked in Yosemite Valley from 62 to 67 and climbed the ledge trail one evening after work with my tent mate. I think there was a sign back then that said the trail was closed. The trail is pretty much straight up and we got to Glacier Point fairly quickly. There was one spot with a lot of sand and decomposed granite where it seemed like you would slide back two steps for every step thaby Richard Poulsen - General Discussion
Does anyone know if there is still a meat department in the village store in Yosemite. I worked as a meat cutter in the store in 1966 and 1967 and wondered if they still cut meat there or just have cold cuts shipped in. We used to cut steaks and make hamburger and or things.by Richard Poulsen - General Discussion
I worked for Curry Company from 1962 to 1967 during the summers and climbed the ledge trail one time after work with a buddy. It was unmarked then and certain portions had very loose sand and granite where for each step forward you slid back two steps. The last portion was not as overgrown as pictured on the website. We got dinner at the Glacier Point Hotel and watched the firefall that night.by Richard Poulsen - General Discussion
