I will be heading up next Friday, July 31 to volunteer at Sunrise HSC. Yeah, yeah, I know, it's a terrible job but someone has to do it. Last year I worked at Tuolumne Meadows for a week. It was tremendously rewarding plus I met some great people at least 3 of whom will be at Sunrise this time out..by F4RIO - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
It looks authentic to me. Here is a link to a similar pic at about 120 miles away from Mt. Hamilton, I believe. The azimuth for both pictures is almost identical. http://home.mchsi.com/~lookoutvistas/DiabloHam.htm (Sorry and can' t seem to figure out how to make this a clickable link) Post Edited (03-18-09 12:16)by F4RIO - General Discussion

If you have experience with mountain driving you shouldn't have any problems. I have towed my 34' fifth wheel over Tioga Pass from west to east and it went fine. Take it easy and use the fairly plentiful turn outs. Going east toward Lee Vining from the summit is steeper so if you are going that way watch your speed as you start down.by F4RIO - General Discussion
