Also the winter forecast I saw from NOAA in late November predicted a wetter than normal for Northern California, about average precipitation for Central California and lower than normal for Southern California. There was a major 5.9 earthquake today (at about 3:50 PM PDT) about five miles south of Coleville CA with the preliminary estimate of the epicenter being quite close to US 395. That's a good size earthquake. Hope those living near the epicenter, including Bridgeport are okay. I wonder if Hwy 395 suffered any major damage during the quake or its aftershocks. I'm glad that Yosemite got its trademarked names back so the Ahwahnee can officially be called again the Ahwahnee and Curry Village will once again be Curry Village. The change.org petition protesting this move is too funny. They're basically complaining that coffee being provided by multinational German firm, Joh. A. Benckiser (https://www.jabholco.com/), the parent company of Peet's Coffee, is being replaced by a multinational American firm (Starbucks).
