Im sure you can. I went on July 1st with no reservation and I was able to get a spot for 4 nights. Some spots open up in the morning when people leave, so that's your best shot. Im sure you can stay at your site, unless someone has it already reserved for those other days.by sdcamper - General Discussion
I was out at Cathedral lake on the 4th of July. It was pretty bad. There's marsh before you get the to lake, and that's where they all come out from. You can run as fast as you want, but the swarm will catch up in a matter of minutes. For us, it was bad enough where we couldn't enjoy hanging out at the lake for more than 5 minutes... Hope it's not as bad when you go though, its an amazing sight.by sdcamper - General Discussion
I just got back from T.M. I spent 5 days there. It's pretty bad. The second I got off my truck to unpack, they swarmed me. I went running for my Deet. They are pretty much there from 9am till the night. I went through almost a can of Deet in 3 days. You also have all the other fun little bugs. You have some that look like small fleas (although they fly). They get on pretty much anything. We wentby sdcamper - General Discussion
Awesome, I hope I get a good spot or change it. I'm coming from the LA area, do you happen to know what time they open the south side enterance? Hopefully I can make there real early. I couldn't find that info on the nps/yosemite webpage. Thanks!by sdcamper - General Discussion
Thank you everyone. I think we're going to go, and hopefully get a spot.by sdcamper - General Discussion
Hello everyone, Just a quick question. All the sites are reserved for the 4th of July weekend in Toulumne Meadows, Im sure the other half are open for walk-ins. Anyone have any experience going there w/o an rsvp and getting one regular camping site for a tent on a 4th of July weekend? I was thinking of arriving Thursday morning to secure it for the weekend. Thanks in advance.by sdcamper - General Discussion
