Thank you - and I feel like a dope. I've looked at that current conditions page a thousand times and never noticed that the Marisposa Grove road was listed!by kylebarendrick - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
Does anybody know if the road to the Mariposa Grove is clear? Thanks, - Kyleby kylebarendrick - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
I was around Tuolumne last weekend and the skeeters were brutal. Cover yourself well! They were especially brutal around the Sunrise Lakes trailhead but a little better around TM itself.by kylebarendrick - General Discussion
Quotebpnjensen Quoteeeek It's been a while but I remember it being mostly flat on the northeast side of Clouds Rest. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=37.769426,-119.485459&spn=0.029446,0.052056&t=p&z=15 Eeek is right - just east of the summit (maybe 3/4 mile?) is a large very flat "saddle" that would easily accommodate a campsite nearby but hidden.by kylebarendrick - General Discussion
Quotedqniel Whatever location you do end up using please let me know your experience. I plan on doing Cloud's Rest next year since weather wasn't permitting when I went last year. I'll be happy to follow-up with a few pictures.by kylebarendrick - General Discussion
Does anybody have any recommendations for good places to camp near Clouds Rest? I want to be on the peak for sunset and the following sunrise, so I'd like to find a good campsite within about a 15 minute walk if possible. Yes, I expect this to be a "dry" camp. Is there enough room on the top to spend a night? Any help would be appreciated.by kylebarendrick - General Discussion
Anybody have any updates from this weekend?by kylebarendrick - General Discussion
Hi Dan, I'm planning a trip to Clouds Rest at about the same time, heading from Tenaya lake. If anyone has updates about the Tenaya crossing or the trail conditions from there it would be appreciated as well.by kylebarendrick - General Discussion
