QuoteSierraGold Quoteszalkowski Anything is dangerous in the hands of someone who isn't competent. My Saturn sedan routinely carries three people on trips and all the backpacking equipment fits in the trunk along with a 5 gal. gas can. It also averages 37+ mpg, so I'm not the one whining about how much gas costs in the park. Added note: 5 gal. = 2/3 cu.ft. QuoteEchidna Friends camping and climbing in Yosemite Valley this week have emailed that a climber fell to his death off Half Dome on Monday. They are sharing a campsite with some Kiwi climbers who had to help the climber's partner off the face. There has been nothing in the news about this, does anyone have more details?
