Keep up the good fight. I also received the PM from this character with his veiled threat. Let me know if I can help. Like I said before once law enforcement starts to look into this guy I'm sure they'll find other dirty stuff on him. These type of people have other problems and usually don't cover their trail very well. That house was up and running in the 70's. I lived in Mammoth in the arly 70's and would drive by it on my way to Lee Vining and north. It's just to the west of 395. I remember in the late afternoon seeing people sitting outside on chairs with their favorite drinks just enjoying their company and the views. Once saw a covered wagon pulled by a couple of mules owned by a guy who travelled the staby mtn man - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
I can only verify about the one I knew of which was Friday morning at Vernal (I was in the Valley and heard it on my scanner). There was a helicopter that came in to pick up a patient on Thursday afternoon but that was for a bicycle accident which as far as I know was injuries only.by mtn man - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. Thanks EEEK for that website. If you notice this ARCKHIPOVA guy is online with us a lot so he's reading this. Hopefully Sactown will follow through with that website and anyone else who feels their privacy has been compromised and has received any other veiled threats from this person (Suspicious phone calls, etc.). Once they look into this guy other stuff might surface. Kind of like when the poby mtn man - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
Might be time for the moderator to contact the F.B.I. internet division with whatever IP info he has on this guy. My guess is he is into a lot of illegal stuff besides the Yosemite stuff and putting out someone's personal info shows he is a little demented. He also is not careful and he can easily be located by the F.B.I. They'll search warrant Craigslist and I.D. him quickly.by mtn man - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

i drove by your site today, and it looks to me that you can get it in there. the site is actuallly similar to a pull out along the road type style.the trailer and vehicle should fit but you will be just off the road parked parallel to the road. i will be home on saturday if you like i will post pictures.by mtn man - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. That person is running the same ads in many different craiglist locations. I've gone through, L.A., Orange County, etc. Craigslists and keep flagging them but the seller just re-lists the same ad the next day. Notified the reservation website and did get a response that they are on to this and thanked me for bringing it to their attention. That hike along the river from Happy Isles to the Pines campgrounds is also one of my favorites. However it is the North Pines (not Lower Pines) campground entrance you want to go into to find the footbridge and the bike path to the Awhanee and on to the Awhanee meadow. Amen on no generator areas. Colter Bay campground in Grand Teton Nat'l park has some no generator loops. Some loops are OK for generators and some aren't. I've found the Yosemite rangers pretty cooperative when it comes to asking someone to use their generator SPARINGLY. I have called into the non emergency dispatch desk at times to point out a campsite that is continually running a generator.by mtn man - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

Their tent was 15 ft. from the car, they never heard a thing. They got up about 9:30 a.m. and all of a sudden I heard the wailing of a very distraught young lady. Luckily they had family camped in the same campground and I guess they helped them through it. They actually went to the campground gate and complained to the security guy and wanted them to do something about it. This campground has cby mtn man - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. Was camping at Mono Village at Upper Twin Lake near Bridgeport. In the middle of the night I could hear a bear munching on what sounded like a styrofoam ice chest. This went on for at least an hour and a half. When I got up the next morning I looked around my neighbors' sites but couldn't see any ice chest or trash. Then I saw that a window was broken out of a small SUV. I walked up to it and saby mtn man - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
In the past they have not counted a trailer as a "vehicle". So you could put two cars and a trailer in a normal campsite. The DBL2 site says 3 vehicles max. which would mean three motor vehicles max. plus whatever trailer you can stuff in there. Normally the staff doesn't bother you if you keep all vehicles wheels on the driveway/pad, not hanging out onto the road, etc. I have many tiby mtn man - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. If you could go for the 3rd week of May that would be an ideal time to go, unless you want to do high country hiking, then go for September. May gives you the waterfalls and green meadows. Midweek of course is the best option. Weekends bring the local traffic from the San Joaquin Valley. In Sept. you don't have that problem. Go into the reservation site and keep searching . Yesterday and today I've seen some choice sites pop up available in the next two weeks. And I was only looking at Lower Pines. Those bear boxes get awful hot inside during the day if they get sun on them. Maybe take a tarp or something to cover it with while you are away? Secure it with large rocks or something so the wind doesn't blow it away? Any perishables in the bear box with sun on it after a few days will be perished.by mtn man - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada.
