The V9 marker is actually exactly where the old BOFR hit the Valley. As you pull in to the little turn-out immediately past the V9 marker, you'll see a VERY beat-up road at the west end of the turn-out. Some trail books tell you to drive up this and park closer to the small logging area but I wouldn't take a chance (I've never had a problem leaving my car in the turn-out but have seen vehiclesby DavidK42 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. Hey bill-e-g, The Princeton map tool looks cool but the link you give only took me to a single map and I can't find how to search for other maps on this site. I've got a particular interest in the old roads and this one, published in 1948, still shows most of the old BOF and Coulterville Roads but it's already omitted most of the remnants of the Old Wawona Road.
