I think the hike up the OBOFR from Hogdon Meadows is a beautiful hike. It is nice easy walking along the old road - which is stil in nice shape. There are some wonderful wildflowers, beautiful forests, and amazing stone bridges along the way. Also, the one time I hiked it there was no one else around.by shawnpheneghan - General Discussion
It's the highest pass in the state that has a road built and maintained through it. There are plenty of higher passes.by shawnpheneghan - Yosemite Roadside Markers
We hiked the Tuolomne Grove Road from Hodgdon Meadows Campground on 10 October 2011. The signs are still in place. It is a fantastic walk through giant Cedar, sugar pine and ponderosas. There are a couple of beautiful creek crossings on some old stone bridges.by shawnpheneghan - Yosemite Roadside Markers
