I've seen it called "Hidden Falls" also. I puzzled over references to Tenaya Fall(s) when reading "The Incomparable Valley" by Matthes and Fryxell. I've come to understand that it is Tenaya Creek Falls, the cascade a half mile or so (including some bushwacking/scrambling) past the footbridge at the end of the extended Mirror Lake Loop. http://www.worldwaterfalldatabase.com/waterfall/Tenaya-Falls-7350/by Dave_Ayers - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. The San Joaquin was only ~3 feet from the levee top at hwy 132 when I passed by yesterday on the way home from Yosemite. TID stopped releasing water over the Don Pedro spillway this morning due to stress on the levees downstream as requested by the US Army Corp of Engineers so levels should go down some. Yes, San Luis is at 95%. All the major CA reservoir fill %'s can be seen at http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cgi-progs/reservoirs/RES . Note that since San Luis is a diversion dam primarily filled by pumping from the CA aqueduct, its level doesn't always correlate to precipitation. Releases continue out of Don Pedro over the spillway. The level is currently at 828.7 feet (out of 830). The Modestoby Dave_Ayers - Backpacking and Hiking Yosemite and the Sierra

With all the attention focused on Oroville Dam, there has been little mention of the concern of a Don Pedro Dam overflow. But the reservoir was withing 3 feet of the top on Tuesday (per http://www.sacbee.com/news/local/article132779679.html). Add that the Tuolumne River channel below Don Pedro is not terribly robust and that the San Joaquin River it flows into is almost at flood stage near Vernby Dave_Ayers - Backpacking and Hiking Yosemite and the Sierra
3 nights, perhaps 4 days? Since you've not been to Yosemite, I recommend spending 1-2 days seeing the main sights in the Valley. This would be waterfalls including Bridalveil, Vernal, Yosemite, and possibly Nevada; Mirror Lake; Tunnel View; Valley View; Glacier Point; etc. Also see a big tree grove like Tuolumne, or Merced (Mariposa is still closed). Then spend the other ~2 days in theby Dave_Ayers - Backpacking and Hiking Yosemite and the Sierra

Wawona is about the same elevation as Yosemite Valley (~4000 feet) and not likely to have snow on the ground in April. But since you've never seen Yosemite, you'll want to prioritize the Valley sights that folks have mentioned. Plus a key attraction in the Wawona area is the Mariposa Big Tree Grove, but that is closed for construction until the Fall. I highly recommend to actually climb Tuolumne Peak and not just follow the trail near it. The view is well worth the climb which is class 1-2 from the east. However you go it's all good. But an important consideration for me is that the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne is best early season because all the main and numerous side falls are blasting and because its usually cooler down at Pate Valleby Dave_Ayers - Backpacking and Hiking Yosemite and the Sierra

You could extend the hiking a day or more by going out and back towards Ten Lakes/Tuolumne Peak. option a, camp near Tuolumne Peak and bag it option b, camp along the So Fork of Cathedral Creek option c, go all the way to Ten Lakes Both Tuolumne Peak and Hoffman have excellent views. I usually take snackable items like unsalted nuts, dried fruit, and an energy bar. I sometimes take cheese and salami but stick to uncured salamis to reduce the chemical content. The sandwich thins tend to take the jostling better than other breads and tortillas IMO, so I go with those if I take a sandwich.
