Looks like the same conditions I saw in 05, From LYV to Merced lake water was flowing down through the woods where it normally doesn't, Bunnell cascade looked like a dam burst and just before and on the same side as Bunnell was a 1000 foot waterfall . Twice I've been turned back by snow before July on that same route. ( had my young son with me ) But here's what I found. The snow can be deep enough to cover the blazes on the trees, let alone the trail. We followed well established foot trails that lead to nowhere. We brought snow shoes, MSR Denalis, and used them. I would strongly suggest forgetting about following the exact trail and use a GPby obi96 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
