Quotequmqats (snip) Where are the Big Bend camps? I might have the name wrong but about 2 miles west of Lee Vining as you start the steep grade, a road goes off to the left and goes to 3 or 4 camps. The first ones are Mono County and the last one is an Inyo National Forest one I think is named Big Bend. I would like to go up a few days after the 4th weekend to Tioga Pass Road (not necessarily the crest) and prefer the FCFS camps. I stayed in the noisy Tuolumne Meadows camp 4 years ago in a site that had barely enough room for the table before the next sites driveway so I would like to avoid there. Does anyone know if the less traveled camps on the lower road are open: Tamarack Flat, Yosemiteby mburress - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
