I must say, I am absolutely disgusted with the services that are provided in Yosemite by the NPS. With all the money they stand there and collect per car at the gate and per campsite, I would, and do expect more. Showers, restrooms etc. absolutely appalling. I do not care to read any excuses for them. The State Parks through out this country are by far, a four star resort, compared to the garbagby waterman - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. Vitamin B as Mosquito Repellent There has been quite a bit of discussion about the role of Vitamin B in mosquito avoidance. Taking large quantities of vitamin B unfortunately does not decrease the number of mosquito bites you get. Such an apparently simple solution to mosquito avoidance is appealing, but careful scientific trials have failed to show any mosquito repelling effects as a result oby waterman - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. Did it a couple of weeks ago, Mammoth to Happy Isles via Tuolumne. Took six days, five nights. The trick to planning your trip, is where you plan to camp. Do you want to camp above the trees where there are No Mosquitoes and No Bears? Or, in the trees where you will get eaten alive by both? Incidentally, there is a bear living in Shadow Lake valley, one at Garnet Lake, and a Sow and cuby waterman - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
