The Ledge Trail is a death trip because of an area of uncontrolled slide about 300 yards below the gully. It is loose and moving and if you are on it, you could go with it. Do not attempt this trail. Maybe this winter will clear some of this am make it passable with a little class 3 pitching. Actually the trail up to that sign is not bad. Pretty easy scramble and much recognizable trail. Beyond this, however there is new slide activity and about 300 yards of loose, broken granite. It is beyond class 3 in my opinion and I expect that there will be another substantial slide this winter when the weight of snow gets on all that loose stuff.
