Quoteplawrence QuoteVagabond28 The bigger problem was the mosquitoes! I had so much bug repellant on and I came back with 11 bites. Then the mosquito repellant you used was ineffective (unless the bites occurred through your clothing and not on the exposed skin that had the mosquito repellant). I would suggest next time to use a different mosquito repellant. That did cross my mind exceptby Vagabond28 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
I hiked to White Cascades on the 9th and the first creek crossing (Delaney?) felt dangerous to me. The water was actually very swift but there is a log you can easily cross on. And the water is painfully cold. The bigger problem was the mosquitoes! I had so much bug repellant on and I came back with 11 bites.by Vagabond28 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
I went to Yosemite for the first time last July and have been back 13 times since then. I can't get enough of it. Yosemite is at the top of the list of things I will miss when I move to Washington next month. I hope to fall in love with the mountains/ national parks there or I will be very, very homesick.by Vagabond28 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

Can anyone give me information on the stream crossings to Waterwheel Falls from the TM trailhead? I plan to do this hike on July 8. I have scoured this site for information and I'm not too concerned with the snow but the safety involved with crossing the creeks with the high snowpack/melt this season. I would like to know if it's not only doable, but safe. I will have the chance to return to Yoby Vagabond28 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
