Wanted to get thoughts on heading up snow creek trail and camping on the rim the first weekend of March. I know things can change from day to day but curious of typical conditions around that time and any thoughts on current/projected conditions based on the amount of snowfall this year. I will in the bay area that weekend with a rental car and time to spare. I have done this trail before but itby dgreene - Backpacking and Hiking Yosemite and the Sierra

Hey guys. I have a permit for 6 for GP-> LYV for this Saturday. We had a guy drop out so I won't be using one of the permits if anyone is interested in showing up and trying to snag it Saturday. Just thought I would pass it along.by dgreene - Backpacking and Hiking Yosemite and the Sierra

Hey guys. I have a GP-> Happy Isles permit for mid May. I had originally thought about including Echo Valley/Bunnell Cascade as part of the loop but am seriously reconsidering due to the fire damage and I assume the water wont be as spectacular as originally hoped due to the lack of snow melt. So what I am thinking is this: Day 1:GP-> LYV Day 2: LYV to Sunrise creek just below the passby dgreene - Backpacking and Hiking Yosemite and the Sierra
First off, newbie to the forum but looking forward to hanging around. I have nabbed a permit for GP->LYV in late may. The plan is to backpack four nights and wanted some thoughts on routes/campsites. Obviously our first night is at LYV so here is what I am thinking. Day 1 - GP->LYV Day2- LYV over Clouds to Sunrise Lakes. Looks like about a 10 mile day. Any suggestions on camping nearby dgreene - Backpacking and Hiking Yosemite and the Sierra
