Aramark pays a set fee and percentage of profits. These High Sierra camps are not profitable. Any excuse to not open them, such as too short of a window, or bad weather will be used as the company makes money by leaving them closedby lonelugger - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

For the doubters out there, the conditions exist for a very dry 2023, at least till next Winter. Keep in mind, the exact same was predicted for last year, and we also had a wetter-than-normal November and December. The Yosemite Falls trail is poorly patrolled by park rangers, and I am not sure why. last time I was there, there was some idiot running two large dogs up the trail and down. he was pretty abrasive and rude. he was never caught. I hope to complete it this year, failed last year, simply ran out of time. Went up to the left of the rock slide area, someone had some trail markers there and came out on the sketchy exposed area, where I ran into a couple of young ladies that started later than me and my friend.
